This is definitely a Disneyland day.

So, this is the story. I'm sick of looking outside in the middle of July and seeing overcast clouds. I'm tired of trying to wear a skirt, and getting goosebumps. Gah! I just want to take a trip to SoCal and visit my hometown, Disneyland.
There is no place I'd rather be, right now. I took this picture last spring break, when I went with my boyfriend's family. I'm serious, I need an excuse to go :( any ideas?

Ooohh... gifts for me?

I LOVE unnecessary knick-knacks. It may stem from my ADD, but whenever I am inside a thrift-store or consignment shop, I have to touch/pick-up/fondle every little trinket they offer. I also love the excuse of buying something as a gift... and then deciding I would much rather save it for myself :)

...Oh, early-birthday-gifts-to-me....

Check out these fabulous Vintage Babushka Doll lavender
sachets from oopsiedaisi! I think I'll get one for my boyfriend's mother... and two for me.

This dish rack was originally going to be a christmas gift to my grandparents, who own a beautiful beach cottage where this would fit right in. Know where else it would fit in? My kitchen. It's adorable, girly, and necessary to my agreement to do dishes outside of work (you clean a lot of dishes as an employee of Starbucks). It's no surprise though, Modcloth always has amazing finds.

How about a Lego heart necklace? you had me at Lego! Shanalogic! I wanted to buy this for one of my sisters (still might) for her birthday... but, clearly, I need one also. Maybe I'll get one for all three of us sisters, that would be cute...

Last but not least... one more toy to persuade myself into doing dishes... Bubble Wand meets Dish Scrubbie! PerpetualKid! This wasn't really a gift to anyone other than Moi, because, honestly, I think my mom would swat me if I gave her another chore-assisting trinket ("it's not a gift!"). Still pretty nifty! I love bubbles, and distractions from mundane household activities...

Okay, it's too late to be blogging. Good night, all!

love,

My New Project

Welcome to my new project. I tried crafting, but that didn't end up well on it's own. Knitting ended in a heap somewhere under my couch. Old-fashioned journaling was hard to stay with, because I wasn't writing for any reason or any person. Gardening was a joke. Scrapbooking was expensive and sticky.

Cooking, I have down. Photography, I have down. Surfing the internet for goodies, I have down. Blogging... my new adventure that will bring them all together. And maybe some of the crafting, too :)

Love,
Kels
